Rachel Stuart
Hagen says, “I first met Rachel when she came to cast for the FHM Calendar 2007. For some reason, she didn’t make the line-up for that, but I made sure we shot her for an FHM feature, in July 2007. She came and cast for FHM Models of Deal or No Deal as well. With that massive hair, she has such a presence and she’s flame-thrower hot besides. And such a lady. She went on to star become a TV star on Channel O and Flash!
Candice Boucher
Hagen says, “When I took over as FHM Editor, Candice was the girl to watch. She first appeared in FHM in 2006 and was always destined for greatness. She went on to snag a Guess contract and become a legend of SA modelling. Cracked an FHM cover in our July 2007 issue.
Joelle Kayembe
Hagen says, “So sweet and lovely! Joelle moves like a goddess and photographs even better. The Hot Chocolate shoot Nick Boulton did with her might be the best shoot FHM has ever done. Jo’s done two covers with us, since we first cast her for FHM Calendar 2005.
Lalla Hirayama
Hagen says, “Some people just have star quality, and that’s what Lalla’s got. We saw her first on the Winikaya show on SABC1 and I remember thinking, “Who’s that girl!” Then she came in to a casting and I was, like, “Hallelujah! She came to us!” This shoot was done for the FHM Gadgets 2010 special. Lucky gadgets!”

Gina Athans
Hagen says, “A real lady, hey. When we shot her in Namibia for FHM Lingerie 2006 she’d just got back in SA after a bit of a divorce drama. But she was a total pro, and turned in red-hot performances in some freezing desert conditions! By the time we shot her for the December 2006 cover, she was blazing and she assumed her rightful place as a queen of SA awesomeness!”
Rosette Mogomotsi
Hagen says, “She’s a true Soweto girl, with sass and attitude. No shyness about this one. I think she’s running her own business now, and you know she’ll make a success of whatever she tries to do. It won’t hurt that she’s totally damn gorgeous. I mean, wouldn’t you want to do business with her?”
Bonang Matheba
Hagen says, “The It Girl of right now, thanks to her presenting Live on SABC1 Mzansi Fo Sho! And she converted that notoriety into a radio DJ slot on YFM. She’s super-hot and super-ambitious, but she plays it in a friendly, down-to-earth way, so she deserves all the fame and stardom she gets!”
Sashi Naidoo
Hagen says, “She’s my homie from PE. But I first heard about her when she was an FHM Student of the Month in 2003. She’s always had this smouldering sexiness thing going on. She eventually made the cover in Jan 2009 when she came to Zanzibar with us to present the TV special for FHM Calendar 2009. Owner of Alushi Models and a qualified chiropractor too. Nothing wrong.”
Kesiah Frank
Hagen says, “Bit of a worry this one. She can get whatever she wants, with this level of attractiveness. She must use her power only for good. But it seems like she will. She’ll be qualifying as a lawyer any minute now. At that point I will begin robbing banks and hire Kesiah to defend me.”

Lisa-Marie Estreux
Hagen says, “Another Eastern Cape discovery. She’s so chilled, but the minute she appeared in FHM Calendar 2008, she was snapped up by international clients and she began flying all over the planet as a global modelling superstar. At present we’re in the queue to shoot her again. Don’t forget the little people, Lisa-Marie...”
Genevieve Morton
The guys from ZOO Weekly/Weekliks told us about her, and we soon rushed her off to Mauritius, where she was miss January for FHM Calendar 2007. At that stage Gen was only 18, and we then saw her blossom into a self-assured young woman in FHM Lingerie 2007 later that year.
Nonhle Tema
We spotted her on O Access and she made her FHM debut in FHM A-list in 2007. She’s since gone on to win an international contract as the face of Dark ‘n Lovely cosmetics. We ran a “Out-of-this-world” shoot with her in October 2008 and she’s FHM’s next tip for global stardom!
Colleen Geldenhuys
We so enjoyed shooting her in Mozambique for FHM Calendar 2006 that we dialed her right up again the next time we needed a hot blonde. Colleen made the cover of the FHM Speed supplement in August 2006 and starred in what remains one of the hottest shoots we’ve ever done.
Nicola Breytenbach
Who knew this blonde SA expat was becoming a supermodel in New York without our knowledge? Not us! But as soon as we found out, we began shooting Nicola as often as we could. Most memorable were her cover shoots for FHM Calendar 2006 and FHM Collections later that year.
Lauren Mellor
Another FHM Calendar alumnus, Lauren later became star of the show in FHM Lingerie 2007. Not only a sophisticated international supermodel, she’s also a good sport. For that FHM Lingerie shoot we had her up at 5am, hanging off hot-air balloons in her undies. And she still looked awesome!
Lisa-Marie Schneider
This lady is one of a kind. Those lips are simply mesmerising. Those piercing blue eyes! They earned her an FHM cover in October 2005 and saw her shipped off to Argentina to star in FHM Lingerie 2005. Today she can be seen plying her trade as a star of the silver screen. That doesn’t surprise us in the least!
Sam Katz
Super-hot, and great fun: a sweet combination. So when we scored a trip to the Caribbean and we needed a fun, gorgeous model to accompany us for a babe shoot, Sam Katz was the only option. The ensuing shoot for Girls of FHM in May 2005 was one of our proudest moments.
Joanna Krupa
Yip, we shot her! International icon of babeness Joanna Krupa came out to Maldives with us for FHM Calendar 2005. She reappeared on the cover of FHM April 2005 and made several more appearances thereafter. She’s our old mate!
Bianca Trytsman
This young lady won FHM Homegrown Honeys in 2006 and went on to become an FHM cover star and part of the bikini squad for FHM Calendar 2007. Living proof that FHM model searches are a ticket to fame and fortune. Today she has a boutique in Cape Town, as befits a woman of her beauty and hipness!
Roxy Louw
A hottie who digs to jol and can talk sport till they close the bar. Yes, it’s a dream come true, and it’s all made manifest in the gorgeous personage of Roxy Louw. We first shot her as “It’s your... Surfer” back in 2005. She later appeared in FHM Calendar 2008, brought to you by Gilette Fusion and most recently headlined FHM Lingerie 2009.
